Question about making platforms and enemies to kill

Sorry for the messy title, but I needed to make it clear . I downloaded GE and tried using the caveman demo as sort of an example to understand how it works . I would need to know how to make an actor into a platform I can stand on . I tried copying all the data as on the other platform , but maybe I'm missing something, because it's just not solid . What exactly do I need to do ?

Also about enemies : same thing, tried to do the "path finish" thing exactly as there is on the snake, but it doesn't do anything, what do I need to do, bit per bit, to make another enemy, with the same movements, to kill the player on contact ?

for your platform go on your actor press add -> collision -> of actor: (platform) -> after you can see: Repeat this event while actor is colliding: (put to yes) -> add action -> physical response -> its whrite event actor : (put to 0) -> add -> immediate action
