Hello everyone im making a new game called squad commander! im making it so i can play it on my pocket pc (witch is a dell axim x5) it will also have a windows version. ok first off the cross hairs i used for this game its from URT - 2D by Lacotemale. ok heres how to play, you move the screen around with the arrow keys. and you command a soldier (i know i said "Squad commander" but i only have one soldier right now.) there are on screen buttons click "move" to make the soldier follow the aimer and slide the aimer up to make him jump. click on "gun" to make the soldier shoot at stuff when you touch (or click) on the aimer. i welcome a all the help i can get. just don't edit my stuff without my approval because i want this game to turn out how i pictured it. also please dont use anything from my game without giving credit (give credit to Lacotemale if you use the cross hairs).

for some reason it goes realy slow on the pocket pc until you kill all the enemys. im thinking this is because the enemys are checking for walls

Glad to see you like my crosshair! At least somebody likes my crappy graphics. Im not sure will I have time to help you out as ive many projects going at once besides my own game-editor game.

Hey, that's pretty nice!
Who did the graphics of the soldier? It looks great!

You should make the controlling easier. I mean that
you should make it so it disables gun automatically
when you click move. Did you get what I meant?

But the coding is done nicely.

i made the soldiers but i used the outline of an old megaman sprite because i don't know how to draw outlines. i understand what you mean. you really think my coding is nice thank for the comment i haven't been working on this game for 3 days because its Christmas time. im trying to make it so you cant move your soldier out of the view. and did you notice the enemy soldier misses some times? you miss some times too but not as much as the enemy

It was Megaman... haven't played Megaman ever but the outlines were familiar to me...
There has been some demos of Megaman games made with GE and that's why it seemed familiar.

Did you make that shot missing for the game to be more realistic?
I think it's nice idea.

And if you need some advice or help some time, ask me and I try to help you.

well im going to make it so you get more acurate as you level up. also i dont know how realistic it sould be right now the enemy misses 50% of the time and the player misses 40% of the time. should i change this?

i havent been working on this very much, 'cause my friend got me addicted to nethack. =P

ok i have decided that my game needed a new sprite, so i have been doing some editing and heres what i got so far. please let me know if you like it or not.
