(vista) Laptop keyboards do not work properly on GE

My vista laptop keyboard wont type = or + in script editor. Also, when I type the right bracket, the left bracket shows up on the screen, and when I press the | key (which also has \), the right bracket shows up. If I type the right bracket nothing shows up.
If this is possible to fix, it would be great to have on a later version of GE.

that happens to me too g-e has a lot of bugs if your opperating system is windows vista

I don't have this problem, try changing your keyboard language to US english, if does not work, try something else

mine is us english and it doesnt work the same on g-e for some reason, and g-e freezes a lot on vista too

Freddy, at first I thought you had a german keyboard with english settings

then I realized...
well, not quite, the description doesn't fit a German keyboard, I think it more-like fits vista

Yeah, mine is English I guess. (I dont know what any other keyboard would look like, hehe)

a German keyboard is weird.
it contains also:
Ä
Ö
Ü
ß

and the z is where the y is supposed to be, and the other way round.
the _ is where the ? is supposed to be...
loadsa more stuff like that

Haha. The only "out of place" key I have on my keyboard is the €. (which is currently stronger than the $ )

I didn't meant like the origin of the keyboard. Like on my desktop, I have French, English, Arabic, Japanese, all on a Canadian English.
