Hey Zivouhr a couple of tips to help improve your coding skill quicker

1 - Try to join in topics where people have asked for help. Think about how you might do what someone is asking and offer a suggestion. Don't be afraid of providing a solution that won't work to well because people like lcl and Skydereign will be able to correct where you go wrong and they do explain your mistake in a nice friendly manner that will help you understand. Even if you offer a workable solution that can be done better they often comment that you have a good solution but then explain how to make it better.

2 - Redo code. If you learn something new, think about how it could be used in the code that you already have. When starting out you probably have lots of lines of code full of if's and elses. Eventually you learn how to use different techniques and by going through your old code you will not only reduce the amount of lines in your code you will also get a better understanding of how and why the techniques are working.

Foleyjo,

Thanks for the tips.
A couple things I managed to luck out on my own for programming a certain function in my first game, but other than that, I was very dependent on the help of others here, which I am grateful for, as without the valuable help, I'd be still trying to figure out how to make the character have velocity. :D

But yes, if I can offer an idea, without actual coding required (unless I know the code for it), then I'll post some suggestions once I feel better about what I'm doing with coding C.

LCL,

Yes!
The two different sets of clones are now loading, disappeared as expected for the ones that were contacted prior to saving.
This will make the game have more replay value being able to pick off where you left off before, as it's a lengthy game. It will be nice to see the player mark their progress.

Thanks for pointing out the == being vital to getting the loading code to work. That made all of the difference.
And I thought I really needed coding in the saveVars area as with other non array variables, but see that it's not required, thanks to your explanation and coding knowledge.

I want to load the sample test file I used to test loading and saving of multiple clone groups, but the zip won't load onto this website for some reason and it's less than 1 MB in size. I'll try another time.

Again, thank you very much. You have been most helpful! 8)

I'm glad I could help. :)
If you still want to post the file, I'd suggest you to give Mediafire a try, it's a free file sharing site.
