Parts: Some Assembly Required!

Postby NUTINC » Sat Oct 30, 2010 3:51 am

Hello guys! Nutinc (or Ink, depending on your preference) here with a game he's been working on off and on for quite some time. I call it Parts at the moment, but I might change the name later. The game is currently in Alpha, so a lot of features are missing XD Try it out and tell me what you think! Its a mixture of several kinds of shooters and a trading system. Many features I plan on have yet to be implemented, but at the moment you can

Trade and sell on 5 different worlds!
Explore the barren emptiness of those 5 areas!
Fly around in space shooting 2, count them, TWO different kinds of enemies
And... *drumroll*... build a space ship out of parts!

The number one focus of this game is to make something that 1. involves putting together ships in any number of ways and 2. will be eventually at the quality of something worth selling.

Controls are as follows:
Arrow keys to move ship or player, space to fire while ship.
Space while player allows you to enter the docks.
Use mouse to go through menus.

How to build ships:
At the moment you can use two different parts, cockpits and guns. Ships can't fly without cockpits, and if all your cockpits are destroyed its game over.
There must be a piece in the center of your craft (the center of the building field) at all times or else the ship won't fly either. Parts can be attached to other parts, just take a look at the shapes to understand their placement.

Please enjoy the game and make any comments, suggestions, or insults. I need them all!
