Try make a simple game with two actors (player and platform) and try see what is wrong.

Just to inform, I'm gonna let alone this topic for a while. I already have more q's and problems with GE, and I'd better fix them before I worry about game menus. I'm also not even close to finishing my game.
I'll be making new topics about my other stuff that i have problems with. :D
