Wait there's actual Game Editor classes?

Its nothing revolutionary but heres the concept art, taken off my camera:

Should we still call it Game Editor pocket/ Portable or name it something different like mega-power-super station boy gear (i.e. some creative name i cant think of atm  )?

hi im back sorry my class went on trip for a few days now that i am back on lets solve this

@hblade the screenshot looks awesome we could use it i am going to make this work

@jamesleonardo i have another design looks great though :D

@setokyo we will use sd cards but cds are cheaper though true they may not be protable but actually we could use sd cards as a game cartridge

@bee ant we could use that type of screen but is the resolution compatible with GE?

@supersonic i think we should use the .exe files instead of the .ged otherwise you would have to have GE in order to play it

this is turning out to be bigger than i expected i need to buy a few things like materials for building the device and the name? lets think out of the box how about the Boss system probably sounds too cheesy  um or gamer's haven noo way to cheesy how about the super system that sounds pretty cool :D game editor pocket sounds pretty epic :D

you can't use EXE. Cuz that is Microsoft format
use the linux shell it would save you the lawsuit later

And how about the Game Editor Mirco?
or the Mirco game system

Come to think of it, if it used exe files, then it would run other games not made on GE aswell. Hm...

@JamesLeonardo32 / Nice design for the console but i think we can make it more simple. use just 2 or 3 buttons that should be enough.
---------------

SD card is really nice choice.
----------------

For the screen resolution should be 480x320. as iPhone 3, Android mobile and Pocket Pc.
The reasons.
1. easy to develop.
2. small size of game file.
3. can export to another device. [For developer who want game on many platform]
---------------

For the running file format
Why you don't use .DAT file for running.
it should be smaller than exe file and can't run on Windows os for play GE game. [can't run on MacOS too]
you can check out for more details about DAT file http://filext.com/file-extension/DAT
----------------

p.s.
Just in my opinion.
We should think about the game market place.

@Chai Yeah, I think super old school by having B & A, Start and maybe select!

And yeah, If were aiming for marketing this, thats why i was sugesting to change the name from just GE portable. Who knows, that name could work. :)

so classic like the classic controller on nes like gameboy? i like this idea. but it would probably be better if add the x and y buttons for games that need slightly more control :) i think we should stick with .ged file or .exe :) and the name i think we should make a name without like GE game editor im not selling it when finished i am going to make tutorial on how to make it then in future may be sell :D

I would personally say start with two buttons to make simpler games first, then if needed put 4 buttons later when we know more of this systems 'capabilities' (If playing on this thing differs from playing on a PC.).

I honestly think this could work, Goomba. You just need to go to school for hardware stuff I guess, so you can learn how to place everything together the way it needs to be. I'm going to college soon for Graphics&Media, so maybe just maybe we could really get this to work.
