I think it would be good if game-editor could play avi sequences - this would allow animators to make cut-scenes for our games.

Multi format player would be nice. Avi is not the most space saving format as far as i know.

Multi-format vid playback would be nice, is it too much to ask for flash playback

I suppose you could do it currently with either single frames or anim gifs making an animation, would likely be prohibitive size wise but workable for the time being.
