probably not. well with the way I'm going about no. I'm thinking more of a DIY thing. And I'm sorry I've been so terrible with doing this... I always seem to share half baked(although really good) ideas and never actually do them... Witht that said I was thinking about this projecta and I got another idea that would be simple yet VERY VERY VERY VERY unconventiional(with two i's because i can) . I will post the plan later but I WILL FINISH THIS PROJECT IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!

i bought a second hand rasberri pi ver.01 B (i already had wireless keybourd/sd) hoping it would run game editor games but having exported linux and phone/pocket pc exes, non of them seemed to launch. maybe this is due to a lack of c libraries or something (its geared towards python projects). would love for it to work but there is still the off putting fact that sound does not work on linux without some additional tweak to the linux OS. i think it would make an amazing console- and Rasberry pi version 2.0 is a quad core with more usbs and should have absolutly no problem with g.e games- asuming they can be made to run on them.

what do you mean by phone/pocket pc exes? And Im sure we could find a linux os that someone has already made the tweaks for audio. And as fro making games to run on it... idk, I had assumed it would b ejust like programming them for a controller of some kind.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my shpiel of most likely incorrect information....
I'm rather shabby as to knowledge in Linux environment but here's what I've thought of....

For the actual computer of the system, something inexpensive yet highly versatile: the Raspberry Pi.
For the software bit, Raspbian, a Linux-based OS for the RPi could be a valid candidate.
I haven't actually done any Linux exports, but I assume, like the Windows ones, they are a single executable, and with the right softwares, you might be able to launch it. It wouldn't be easy as simply sticking a file on the system and launching it, but it it possible. The Linux system is very flexible.
As for the controller, perhaps there is some sort of third-party adapter for the platform, but I'm not sure.

Just throwing this idea out there, because I've been considering the same thing myself! :)

yeah, I've seen plenty of dev boards that are made to be controllers, and I'm not entirely knowledgeable about linux myself, however I think installing linux onto a raspberry pi is as easy as inserting a usb and installing it from that. (If I understand this correctly.) I've also come across screens for the raspberry pi as well. The only issue I see is storage space. I know that there is an sd card slot, so maybe the "Hard drive" would be that sd card... Although im not entirely sure because I have never owned or experimented with a raspberry pi. Another thing to consider would be the case. and deciding what it'll look like and what ports will be readily available. I started this post like 3 yrs ago... and I haven't done anything physical with it. This is because I don't have the money to build this. However, if I had the money, I believe I could make this a reality. I guess I can start with doing some research... I REALLY REALLY want to do this. SO if anyone is still with me, I'd appreciate it if you would reply to this post! :D
