Bat78 has been here longer than me though become weird only recently... Bat used to be quite quiet... Now it took me half an hour to read this topic...
GM and Unity developers (me being a unity dev) think "What the --- is this ancient engine, no in-built networking support, struggles to render anything in 3d? Are we still in the 90s?". And they don't give a shit about this community, if you even call it a community. It's about seven members. When you have seven people in a community, it implodes in on itself. It's gone to shit. The only active moderator is basically useless, and only bans someone because they annoyed him.
I'd really suggest to all of you that you learn a new language and move on with your lives. GE isn't going anywhere. Skydereign won't be making this engine any bit more useful by himself within the foreseeable future, and I doubt LcL will help either. You're only wasting your own time and potential by investing effort into an engine this old.
Learn GM, Learn Unity, Learn anything. I'm sure all of you, even those struggling to understand GE, have the potential to become decent programmers. Stop wasting your time, go out and do something.
