whats needed to complie Game-editor

Postby qingingsoft » Sun Nov 09, 2008 2:57 am

Hi, ive been trying for the few recent months to compile game-editor on windows xp with visual studio 2008. Im not certain of what is needed to compile it. Do i need either or both the DirectX SDK and the Windows SDK? And if so, which versions, the latest (november 2008) ones? And anything else? Do i need the visual studio 2008 SP1?

thanks

You can compile it with the Visual Studio 2008 and DX SDK 9.
Game Editor is an open source game creator software that's wants to pay it's developers to keep evolving.

Ah ok, so i need the DX SDK 9. I dont need the windows SDK then, right? Is it ok to use the latest (nov. 2008) release of the DX SDK? And one final question, do i need the Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio 2008?

thanks

You just need the VS 2008 and the DirectX SDK. (or gcc in the Linux)
