I can't wait for the release of the next version of GE. I planned to buy it when it release...

As I still learning the interface of the current GE... will it (future release) be the same concept or approach from the current GE?

The current version is cool and all, but is the new interface version going to come out soon?

ps. by 2007, did you mean closer to the end of 2007, or the beginning?

I think I will need at least more one year to finish the new interface.

The new interface still in development. Sorry about this delay.
After release the network version I will put all my development efforts to make the new interface. Like you, I can't wait for this new look.

Right now (10/14/2009) I'm working on some C++ projects, but I might be able to help if you have some Game Editor questions. :)

Hi makslane,

congratulations for Game Editor, I'm amazed by it.

If I had encountered it before, I would not have given up on my previous game projects, too hard for
the beginner dev I was (starting from scratch with only source coding, using a minimalistic C++ gaming
framework).

Seeing the screenshots of the future interface, it seems to answer a lot of frustrations I have with
testing GE 1.3.8.

Now I have a new game project, and have not definitively made my mind yet for what tool to use/buy.

==> QUESTION: Is there a specs document you could release that details the future interface ? That
would help me to make my decision and purchase sooner, instead of waiting for the release to check it
out.

And as I have some structured suggestions for GE I'd like to post in the forum, having the new
interface specs at hand would prevent me to collide with what's already planned :).

Thanks in advance for your help, and keep the good work !

Best regards
regis.

No, but the intention of the new interface is follow industry patterns in development.
