Here is the bow attack downwards. Check the timing and see if you like it. I'll make the other directions if you like it. Sorry if I am taking awhile, my computer wouldn't boot and we had to take it apart. I'll finish the fire spell soon, I hope.

none of its in any rush :) i still havnt added in the real time you get to use the sword. im kinda just making the engine of the game you could say. making sure everything runs fine before i start adding in the story and stuff. so no rush dont worry i shall check the bow now

the guy looks great i love the bow thing. just i dont need the arrow on the animation the arrow is going to be a seperate actor so keep the same ammount of pictures coz the timings cool. so same amount of frames without the arrow for all directions would be great :) thx alot

A spriting question, do you mind the right and left handedness of the character? Meaning, do you mind if the right and left sprites are reflected? For the slash, I actually did different sprites, it doesn't take much work for most sprites to do another version. Some games do it, some don't... It really is a matter of preference. Here is the right bow attack, I could easily reflect it to get left, or I could just copy his body position and paste over it, maybe manipulate the hands and get a 'proper' sprite. What do you prefer? Also here is bow down without the arrow, I put the arrow just to show the actual firing of the arrow.
-Edit
Actually most games don't. Not even the Legend of Zelda games have it. It is a very subtle detail.

Here they are. Anything else besides magic that you need? Houses, random environmental stuff, or other? Not sure about the upbow, it doesn't seem right. Then again, there wasn't much to work with...

erm any scenery would be great. i love your style of drawing.

first place you are is your home town so i will be needed wooden house's

and a tile thing of a castle/city wall. so like the horisontal one and the verticle one with the typical round one at corners

heres what i mean for the city walls. but in your style of drawing :P

http://img209.imageshack.us/my.php?image=castlewallyu8.jpg

AND FOR THE WOODEN HOUSES

these are just ideas of what i mean by a wooden house it dosnt have to look like this just this age of wooden house if ya know what i mean
Image

Also any random scenery like crates or broken trees. a road texture anything really. i will help draw the scenery as much as i can

oo also maybe some rivers ... :) if theres anything you love drawing let me know and ill make room for it in the game. after all the scenery is done npcs and bad guys will be needed :)

this seems like alot of work for a volunteer :) i shall see when i am done if i can sort out some kind of payment via paypall if i can get any cash onto it. :) wont be alot but it will say thx :)

I'm not sure on what you mean by the castle tiles... What are the vertical tiles? Tiles on the side of the castle? As far as houses go, is this one good? It may not be 3/4 view enough, I am not sure. Also, for the other environment, you do mean tile pieces right? And should I make a new grass tile, or should I use the one from that picture that you posted earlier?

Sorry, I forgot to do the door...

yes the grass tile that is there is already the one that shall be used

the house is not 3/4 view thingy enough. the scenery is isometircal kinda. look at the walls in the picture before to see what i mean

and for the castle/city walls

i want some walls that look like castle/city walls. basically bigger version on the wall in the picture before and more detail and made to look like castle walls
by tile i mean

heres a picture of a small wall

I haven't had much time for spriting recently. Are these okay? The tile matching is kind of hard with the wall, as it needs to fit but not look to similar. Also, they are going to be isometric? In that case, should wall3 be redone? I will make the other needed tiles for the castle wall if these are good. The house was a quick fix, not really sure on it. Just to see if that was enough. I don't mind redoing it if it still is not 3/4 enough. Usually for the games I do in the 'magic era', I use latin names or similar sounding. Is that the style of name you are looking for?

no thats great. and the house is great ... wall and house = cool.... the game is 3/4 view. i was just using isometric to try and exsplain. the 3/4 view is alot better as u can just draw stuff straight on. im loving the house

and ye latin names. ill have a look at some. never thought of latin

sky i was wondering if you could make an animation of your tree faling over left right up and down?

i had to remove the shaddows from the bottom of your tree because they messed up with the zdepth of everything so take them of in the animation aswell :) thx. its so the player can cut them down with his sword

What kind of cutting down do you want? Where it falls on its side, as if axed, or where you cut it clean through? Where should the actual cut be made, or does it not matter?
