alternative to java?

I'm told you drop stuff into a java icon to upload files, but i dont have java and my internet
would take about 3 months to download it (not very much of an exaggeration, unfortunately)

Is there any alternative, or am I doomed to the horrible ineptitude of dial up?

I see some people here open accounts with mediafire then upload it there. They will put the link here so we can download it . Also you can start the java download before you go to bed and when you wakeup it should be done. Have fun!!!!
