GUIDS

Postby duracel92 » Tue Jun 06, 2006 6:25 pm

Well, just to start, I don't know what a guid is. But what I think it is, is the writing, and images that are around the screen, like an interface.

My problem: simple, how do I make one without parenting it to the player actor or the view, since it needs to share SOME events whilst staying in the view.

Look at the picture, its from guild wars. A game im fond of.

GUI is Graphic User Interface, in short, the on screen controls.
A GUID is Globally Unique Identifier, a unique 128-bit number that is produced by the Windows OS, you don't want to know about that.
To make it stick to the view just do something like "x=view.x+110;" in draw actor.
Why do i always get stuck?
