Compatability to the GP2X

Ideas for Game Editor evolution.

Does GE 1.3.5 still support exporting games for WM2003 like 1.3.4? I'm asking because it's not written in the version history. 10x

hello mak

just bought the silver package for the gp2x version and next updates^^

a little disapointment : it's slow on gp2x

I coded a little shoot engine that works great on ppc with full 30 fps with 200 mhz (tested on my qtek 9100)

and on the gp2x , the game turn on 20-25 fps

so if you could say to me if the next update could permit a better fps or not^^

thanks !

Some games get a better performance on GP2X than in my 200MHz Pocket PC. There is some optimizations that can be made, but will be the same for both platforms.

You should swing by the gp2x forums, they're talking about Game Editor over there and there seems to be confusion about what it is / isn't.

Here's the thread: http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=31232

An explanation of the input mapping for gp2x would be very helpful!

Just create your game using the normal keys on your desktop, and remap to GP2X in the 'Game Properties' panel:

I have the demo version of Game Editor so I can't export your sample to the GP2X to see what it does.

Is there an explanation somewhere of what the GP2X keys are? ie what maps to Start, Select, shoulder buttons, etc.

Thanks a lot!

when you make any kind of action for the game , for exemple you put the PC button that you will use for make it...

so for the gp2x and other systems you will just select the gp2x button and attribute the PC button that i said on up...

its the same for the PPC buttons config and others ;)

i have exported this demo on gp2x and tested it

Editor looks wonderful. Just an FYI I was unable to run a game created by this editor until after I upgraded to the 2.0 firmware from 1.2.1.
You might want to have some people confirm, but that was my experience.

This device might be similar to the GP2X... if it's Linux-operated as well, would it be easy to include support for this?
