Help Me out PLease

I am probobaly the newest person to this whole flash/sidescrolling game proggraming thing. I have used other game makers before but none that required any programming knowledge. If anyone could give me some tips/programs to help me get started/ or any books i should read it would be greatly appreciated. I have alot of time on my hands and i would very much enjoy learning c++ or whatever is the easiest best program for sidescrollers.

GE can be used with or without programing experience

when you open the program, there is a "help" section if you check out those tutorials, it can show you step by step how do do stuff, also theres an online tutorial that you can check out,


here is the absolute core idea of how GE works, with this you an figure out how to do things in less then 1 or 2 days

personaly i dotn think you need to read any books, GE can teach you how to program in less then 1 month ( trial and error will be your best friend lol)

If you want to learn more c++, there are loads of tutorials on the internet. Here's a link to a good website: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
Also, the forum is one of the best sources to use if you need help in the script editor.
If you really want read more about c++, you can try a book like C++ For Dummies. (I actually saw that in a bookstore once)
