About Kyra...

Postby Game A Gogo » Sun Apr 10, 2011 8:37 pm

I visited www.grinninglizard.com/kyra and saw that it has a lot of features compared to what ge has. Is it because the kyra in ge is an older version? If so, is it possible to upgrade it? Seems like a lot of features GE could use :D

There are some features in the Kyra (like isometric view) there are not implemented in Game Editor.
The new collision system and the use of OpenGL are better (at leat in some points) that the system used in Kyra.
Game Editor is an open source game creator software that's wants to pay it's developers to keep evolving.

Could there be improvement for the canvas actor in the newer kyra? I read that Kyra also uses OpenGL... which is better?
What I'm really curious about though is if canvas overlapping bug (Currently very annoying...) was fixed in that version? And if drawing process is any faster!

The last version of the Kyra code was relased in 2006-07-21 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/kyra/files/), so I think we have all changes.
