HELP! GE HAS STOPPED WORKING ON MY COMPUTER!!

I dont know whats wrong, but when I click the O.K. button when I start it (I currently have the demo version), a window pops up that says "gameEditor has stopped working", and it crashes. Whats happening?

there is no more expiration date for GE.
and it would say it before it starts GE. try reinstalling it, but make sure to delete the old one

I thought about re-installing, but I didnt want to lose all my other games. Oh well, I didnt really have alot of complete games anyway...

when you reinstall GE, your games doesn't fly away...
unless you placed them in the GE folder... which is not pretty... you know :/

ya, I created a folder on my local C drive named "GE stuff".
Everything goes there

Freddy, did you download a new version of GE?

Everyone else, as far as code storage, if you're serious about it get a NAS drive with RAID 1 at least and install subversion. Otherwise, you end up like tekdino when you have to wipe a drive or you have disk failure.

You could probably put several GE project directories in one free < 50Mb "project" on codespaces.

Help. Please somebody help. Not just anybody help. But I need somebody hhhheeellllppp (or however the lyricks go)
Anyway, Ive found an idea for a game (for once) and its really frustrating not being able to start GE. I dont know if its the software, my computer, or could it possibly be a virus? My Norton Security's internet intrusion protection is turned off for some reason, and I cant fix it. When I try to fix it, it just skips the whole process, and returns to the menu thing. So, please, Im willing to give some one like a hundred quadrillion points to the hundred billionth power if they have the solution. (more like two or three) But if you have ANY suggestions, please, TELL ME! Im desperate. / /

It may be worth your while to get a fresh download. After you fix your antivirus, and make sure your machine is clean. I'm not so sure I like hearing about Azou and you and others getting their machines all gunked up and then uploading things for us to look at. Eesh. And ew.

So your saying that if I upload a ged file and I have a virus, theres a chance someone else might get it?
Also, is it possible to get a virus without downloading anything? Because as far as I know, I havent downloaded anything lately.
And one more thing, I tried to start up an exe of a demo that I made with GE. It wouldnt start up either, and it had the same 'not working' message.
Any advice left?

All right, I got my anti-virus software to delete basically everything that had to do with viruses, cookies, internet history, all of it. It still wont fix the internet intrusion prevention thing, but I dont think that'll be fixed for a while. GE still wont work on my computer though, and its starting to get me mad. ( ) Really really mad ( ). Ive completely run out of ideas. Makslane, do you have any advice?
