I completely forgot about this post... I am now free, so I will finally get sprites out again. I have a few sprites for the forest done, but I am not sure on the style or the light amount. This tile is very murky, and I need to know if the darkness is okay. I do have a stump and a few mushrooms also, but the styles are a bit smoother than the previous sprites. I though that with the contrasting areas, especially if you are okay with the darker tile, that it might work. You would need to decrease the rgb values for the main character when walking into the forest, that way he does not stand out too much.

I will get to work on the requests from the previous post, but to continue with the forests, I need to know what you think of this tile. Also, how do you want me to approach the fairies/glowing lights? Do you me to make glowing balls, and you will animate them as actors, or will I make set movement/animations for you to use?

err it would be easyer for you to just animate them. as they are only for looks and do not need to be coded in anyway. they wont react with anything.

one more thing. as this game is getting bigger. making it in game editor is getting alot laggyer. its not my computers specs as i had this computer built for over £800 for gaming. is there anyway i can reduce the like jumpyness and slowness of how game editor is when you start getting games big? or not :(

if no one has any ideas. i will just like save it. then delete the whole first lot of it apart from the player and npc's ect then save it as a new game. and start working from there. so it can get to a certain point and load the next exe. is this the best way?

basically make two or three exes.? thanks

oo btw. dark tile looks cool :)

thought id just put this in a new post as its completly different task

i need another tile alot like the forerst tile. just like plainish. but more stoneish :).

so it can be put with the path tile. like its going to be everywhere the path tile isnt in the city.

How big is your .ged? Try setting your actors to not do events out of view, if you aren't already. If you are talking about load time to actually start the game, then you might want to save and bring up a new gameEditor window, because it starts to lag, for me. As far as the tile goes, more stoneish in color, or stones on it? Also, should it be brighter?

Here are two sprites. Which mushroom do you like better, or which fits the style better? Also, the stump is a bit weird, but what do you think? Not sure if I suggested this, but when you enter the forest, you should lower the main characters rgb values.

i prefer the mushroom on the left.
the stump dosnt have the right view does it? like the 3/4 kind of view

and yes u sujested lowering the r b g values so that is what i will do :).

can i also point you towards my im very happy look thread. i have the old aztecs game in there! so u can see the basic story line and feel im still trying to go towards. just a more advanced game. also i need the glorb redone in 3/4 view but actually like monster looking this time not a round blob :). so i need purple monsters.

How did you see the game? Can you share it with me, because I am going somewhat blindly here. I was under the impression that only mrgame had seen it. I have the old version, and you really can't count that zdepth demo, as it has very few sprites. Clearly mrgame thinks the size is adequate. Anyway, are you talking about all the sprites, concerning style, or just the most recent? Not that it really matters.

Here are some concepts of the characters. If I understood, the character is a new costume of the original character? Should he wear a mask, or not? The alien thing looks kind of weird but that was the point. Are all the fences and walls metal style, or stone like the pictures? Also, should he be carrying the gun? Or should he only pull it out to shoot, similar to the sword? Also do you still want the forest sprites I was working on? I have some of them finished, faeries, mushrooms, various grass swamp. The tiles I still haven't done the borders to. Is this for the future level, if so do you want any more futuristic stuff? Also, do you want any npcs? I think I like drawing people like things more, even though they take more work.

alien looks cool, soilder guy looks great :), ye the gun will come out like the sword.
i still need the forest sprites aswell.

the pictures i need should be just like the thing in the pictures. so the metal fence. metal containers ect. of modern time.

so no this is not future its modern. future i will do after the forest and modern is fully finished.
