Martian Madness (v.1.3.1 in GameJolt)

Talk about making games.

I grew up making games with a "Shoot'em Up Construction Kit" on my old computer and those games were ultra tough, even playing as the programmer.

Alright this is weird, when I try to export to mac, it just does nothing, gE does completely nothing. Let me check the support section or something. xP

Are you using the 1.4.1 beta? Because it doesn't have Mac support.

But you can't open 1.4.1 beta ged-files in 1.4.0.

It is not recommended to use the 1.4.1 beta for developing games yet, because 1.4.1 has not been released officially, and some things are still missing, including the aforementioned Mac support. In other words, you can't export your game for Mac before 1.4.1 gets out of beta, unfortunately. And I guess rebuilding your game in 1.4.0 is not an option.

Jonathang! This is probably the hardest game I've played created with GE! I mean that in a good way :) Martian Madness takes focus and dedication! +1 on the good game so far man!

And I am aiming for the amount of focus and skill for this game! Thanks for trying it RippeR, and success to your game too! I'm looking forward for the progress! ;)

As much as I'd love to make tons of new enemies (And I still have ideas and stuff), I have no time because I'm busy with college nowadays. :(

Thanks again for the feedback! ;)

Hi Jonathang. Don't worry about the export to Mac. Hopefully GE will be updated so PCs can export to all formats like the Mac version can export to PC, Linux and Mac. Game looks cool, way to go. 8)

LCL, thanks for the info.

Wait, so if I revert back to 1.4.0, is it going to break the game? :o
Would it change any code or anything from the game's ged?

Updated to v1.3 with huge improvements to the fourth boss! (As if anyone would really bother...)
Anyway, I'm very sorry Ziv, that it seems I can't export to mac at the moment... I still hope you can somehow try the game. :(

Man I love the game but I have 2 complaints xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDdddddee

- The Main menu: The space between things are too small, the instructions for example, also make the instructions smaller
- Gradient bars: They look out of place, really, why not make them full white or something

ok that's all still playin the game

EDIT1: THAT FLASHBANG SOUND XDDDDDD
EDIT2: can't beat the 2nd boss. do you test this game by only through debugging mode or what?! XD

Hmmm if I have the time or dedication to fix the menu, I guess it won't be changed until that very time.
Gradient bars: I think they look fine, full white is boring and mainstream imo, but yeah just my opinion.

Wertyboy wrote:EDIT2: can't beat the 2nd boss. do you test this game by only through debugging mode or what?! XD

Come on, keep trying! I can beat the second boss (Without debug mode) with over 1000 hp remaining. The third boss and fourth (With this new update) is a whole lot harder, and I beat them with about 300 hp remaining at level 5. (Without debug mode.) So yeah this game is meant to be very hard, but if you just try once, you won't get far. :P

Thanks for the feedback Werty! +1 for you ;)

That's okay, thanks for considering it. Maybe a future version will allow exporting. 8)

Alright! Thanks for the enthusiasm so far Ziv! ;)
I doubt of the existence of a future version... :c
