I feel odd puting this as a new topic post thigie. im new to the forum, but i an not new to Game Editor. here is a prob some of you may have with the jumping. but i will try to help as much as i can if you need it.
on the jump action as decribed in the tutorials you can pretty much defie(sp) gravity and jump forever. i have found a way(that many of you may allready know :D ) on how to just jump normaly(sp) and still have the ability to move left and right in the air. i only have the second latest version of game editor(because i was denied knowing that you had a 15 day update on the cheapest package :evil: ) so there might be an easier way in the newest version. so anyways, (make sure you have a gravity on the game first[my favorote gravity number is + 1 :D ]) have a key up event instead of a key down event for the actor you want to have jump. when the key that you want to sue to make the actor jump is pressed, make the actor jump, and also when that key is pressed make it disable the event of key up.(this may cause some probs with the key up change animation to still stuff) and when the actor collide with whatever you want to be the ground have it enable the event of key up. now if there is an easier way to do this please tell me :D and i hope i may have been of some help. and i am so sorry for the very, very, very,..ect. long post.
