My art (taking requests)

Postby Fojam » Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:23 am

So we have to keep a sketchbook for our visual arts class and draw 20 minutes a day, so i figured i would draw video game art. This was a drawing of Constable Remington i drew in my sketchbook. i thought it look cool, so i scanned it and edited it in photoshop to make it look more cartoony. What do you think?

(for those that don't know, Constable Remington is an echidna from the Sonic Comics)

its pretty big so some of it might get cut off. just click on it to see full size

I think it looks awesome! :D You can smoothe up the edges though using this method.

Select all of the white, and all of the black pixels and anything close to that, copy it to another layer, then blur that layer. It'll smooth everything out. Lookie:
blur_effect.png

Blurred black and white: (Of course, the surrounding color too, what ever that is, in this case it was white)

A simple digital remasterization trick :) I can show you how if you want. In fact, these images will show ya :D

NOTE:
Gimp was used in this process.

You can do similar things in Photoshop.
Also: I hope to see this character of yours in a game :D You did a good job making him computer-ized :)

You don't have to if you don't want, but I was thinking of making a more-graphical G-E face, in the background with screenshots from random games just floating around in a 3D like environment, but idk.
