how do i make my actors look different than just the plain pacman thing?

click right on your actor, then click add animation, select your animation file, and thats its!!

oh, and one more thing, dont expect to have an enswer in just less one houre, exept if there is more then one user online.

Its also worth checking out the tutorials that come with GE as they tell you how to do that as well as covering all the basics.

If you can't find it in the tutorials, check the Doc page that come with it, and THEN ask on the forum...
