Low-resolution won't display

I don't know if this is a GE problem or a video card problem, but my computer cannot display low-res games in fullscreen mode. For example, pyro's games like Mazeman, etc are in 320x240 and my screen just goes blank when I try to play them in fullscreen mode. It only happens on certain computers: my good computer with a very nice graphics card can't display them but a different computer with a lower-end card can. Is there any way around this, whether through GE or changing settings on my computer? is there some wrapper you could incorporate into the exe to change the screen resolution? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think can be a hardware proglem.
Some cards can´t show fullscrren resolutions thats are not implemented in the hardware.

Most monitors can't handle small resolutions. (idk why).

For some setups, there is. What kind of video card and what kind of monitor are you using?

I have a nvidia geforce 8800 and a 19' I-inc lcd monitor. Running Vista home basic on my computer. I have been struggling with this for a while now... any help would be great.

Its wide screen, right?

It probably wont run 320x240. The ratios are too far off.
