Hi, im new to using game editor and i wanted to know if there was a specific program that i have to use to create actors? also when i try to add a actor it either adds the pacman character or it says "actors name must began with character and must be followed with characters,numbers or '_'. script functions and vars names are not allowed"... i have made some actors but when i try to add them it keeps saying this, i don't know if im saving it wrong or what.

With GE installed, you have no need for other programs other than a graphic tool to make images (The essential)
Click Add Actor, and input a name for you actor (Like "Player") in the gray text box, then click add. after that you can click on Add Animation and browse your picture for your new actor! from that panel you can also add events, modify them and delete them. Set the transparenty and zdepth, and all sorts of things useful
