Shift Key

Postby MrB » Tue Apr 27, 2010 10:12 pm

Have not been using GE for a while and have just come back to it on a windows 7 netbook (msi). I am having a strange problem, the shift key seems to have stopped working which means that I cannot type x=x+1 into the text editor. The best I can get is x=x=1 which is not much cop.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Are you sure that happens ALL the time??? I've had a similar problem before on XP, not even once... Try multi-selecting with the shift key! If it doesn't, then you can try searching on google, that's what I did...

OK
Have discovered the import txt file part of the script screen so I can do part of my scripting in a text file and that seems to work. The on screen keyboard did nothing and neither did copy and paste.

Still now I am cooking on my defender clone. Super simple but will teach me a thing or 3.

May be, using other keyboard layout can solve the problem.

I can have a try at doing that Makslane and let you know how it goes but I think doing my scripting in notepad works better. Not that I am doing much.

BTW thank you for making this superb programme. I am trying to get it working properly on linux ubuntu, I think eventually I will compile my own deb file, but not until I have the time to sit and work it out. I am a bit of a noober to all this anyway.

I'm having the same issue, but mine is while trying to delete tiles. Without the use of the shift key I can't fix any errors I make. Any clue as to why this is happening?
