stay on the ground!!!

can anyone give me the correct directions to keep my actor from being able to jump continiously. every time i jump the actor goes up wether hes on the ground or not. please help me! i am in need of code.

Take a look at GE's Help-->Game Stuff-->gravity Tutorial. I think it will give you everything you need to conquer this problem.
