Pro Version for Linux

Postby linux_man007 » Sat Jul 23, 2005 4:25 am

Overall, I like GE for the fact that it is 'cross-platform', but I feel that it fails
in three areas:

1. There is no Linux version of GE Professional. I feel that it is kind of silly to require Linux users to use Windows to create a Linux executable when it would make more sense to create Linux executables from within Linux itself using a Pro version for Linux. Once a pro version is available, I would be happy to
purchase a copy.

2. It is expensive. As I said above, I would purchase a copy of GE Pro for Linux were it to become available, but only if it became more affordable, $50 US, perhaps.

3. Not enough features. Joystick support, better drawing and the ability to save the game's state in a special (binary) file would be real nice.
