Farewell to all in the Game-Editor community. I have moved on to new languages and programs, and I have to say that I have found myself much more free in these new languages.
Game-Editor was a great stepping stone. It taught me so much about coding and allowed me to program without having to deal with making my own physics or graphics engine. Unfortunately, as the game I am trying to make gets increasingly more complex, It becomes harder and harder to use Game-Editor to make it. That is why I am moving on to writing in C++ and Objective-C (as much as I hate Objective-C, because it is a HORRIBLE language).
My current Smash Bros. for iPhone project WILL be finished. fear not. Unfortunately, the way I am writing it, it will soon get to the point where there would be too many textures to load in the game for an iPhone. This is a possible feature that could be added, which would be the option of setting textures to load on the first CreateActor of an Actor, thus allowing shorter and more efficient load times and not having everything load when the data file loads. This is just a suggestion, since some people might want to make larger games. (a debug console would be nice, too, but now I'm just nitpicking)
Makslane, this is a wonderful program you have written, and I will definitely recommend it to young programmers who are starting out. I appreciate this community and how close it is. In closing, I bid you farewell Game-Editor. It has been a good run.
