2d sprite rotation

I think I should begin this post with a description how this game is going to play. I guess it's how your ship moved in part one of my "Force Disruptor" series. Check out my upload if you're curios about how part 1 of my series played..

Where is the code, you ask? Billy ate it. He used to be my best friend. At this time, I also used to considered him human.

In the game, your ship is motionless in space. Left rotates the ship counter - clockwise and right makes it rotate clockwise. The up button makes the ship move forward and down is currently unplanned. Probably dropping bombs. I'm not sure about bomb dropping, we will cross that bridge when we get there.

I would like it if I could attain guidance from everyone on how I can achieve simple 2d movement.

Sephiroth's strength is unreal. He is far stronger in reality then any story you might have heard about him.
