Where can i get .bmp images??

hey im really new to this gam i only started it yesterady and was wondering where evryone gets there .bmp images to make the games with because i cant seem to find any anywhere.... please help

I make all my graphics,
that is the best thing to do to avoid getting sewed[for copywrighted images].
start off with paint, it is best for learning how to draw,
