recently I've been getting a little heavy duty with programming after watching a few game editor tutorials.
And after working with the script editor for a whole day I thought "wouldn't it be nice if I could make the script
editor go on full screen, or perhaps changes the background color of the script editor and have the lines of script
numbered!

A lot of the changes I'm planning to make or already have made, are the result of me wanting them in gE as I used it. Customizing script editor is one of the top three, so it is definitely one of my priorities.

May be a silly question but how is 1.4.1 doing?

Considering there is only two days left in September it's a pretty decent question. I was going to announce the actual release date when I had made sure I could build it and the engines on all three operating systems. Currently I'm still working on the mac version (also trying to improve the build code so its more approachable across the three). So while I'm hoping to get everything settled and release tomorrow, don't count on it. 1.4.1 will likely be released within a week. Though currently it seems no 1.4 version that had mac support was ever committed to the repository. Therefore I may need to reinvent the wheel for mac support.

You will need to reinvent the wheel for Mac support?

Well mac support seems to only exist in the 1.5 version. akr might have the proper gE 1.4 version with mac support, which will make this much easier. If not, then I either need to backport 1.5 to 1.4, or add mac support directly. The commits are not very descriptive so either direction will be a challenge. Worst case I'll upload the windows and linux versions and release the mac version when I manage to get it working.

No, I emailed akr, and he's taking a look to see if he has the right version.

akr sent me a version to try, but it was of the 1.5 xcode project. At this rate, I will release the windows and linux versions as a beta, and do the official release when I can get this sorted out. Expect the windows and linux versions to be up tomorrow or the next few days.

nudging actors!- i was just gonna mention this (i forgot it was on the list). when canvas envelops your actors and has higher z level you can't crab your other actors behind it- just end up grabbing canvas like a fly bumping into a window. using actor control to select and d-keys to move would prevent the musical chairs of z changing to grab stuff- yay.
