Hypercam 2 help

Does anyone know how to record the screen using hypercam 2 in sonic robo blast 2 or half-life 2? Every time I record a game with it it gets really messed up.

Its worked 4 me and i have never ha 2 go into the settings but it might have to do with the screen settings =/

I used a screen capture software, it works only with windowed mode.
otherwise the colors will all get messed up.
