I started developing my GP2X game in 640x480 and found that it was quite slow, jerky and unresponsive on the GP2X itself compared to running in GE. I tried it in 320x240 and the performance was much better on the GP2X. Also the graphics appeared to have been scaled down in 640x480 to make them fit, as the quality of the sprites was actually better in 320x240. So which resolution do GP2X game developers prefer? And is there a way to improve performance/graphics quality in 640x480?
