Is GE script compiled?

Postby Snowfly » Mon Sep 12, 2005 1:08 am

hi all, i've been playing around with GE the past three days, and it shows a lot of promise! i'm a professional mobile game artist and game designer, and wish i'd discovered a tool like this earlier, for game prototyping. it's not a click-together program, it's closer to full-fledged middleware. i'm hooked!

i've been wondering if the script is compiled out to binary for the .exe? and how extensible is the program in this regard? if i wrote a library for rendering 3D characters, would i be able to link it to GE, or have it run from the global editor?

Welcome Snowfly!

The Game Editor script is compiled to a intermediate code, not to the machine native code.

Sorry, but you can't link other libs or DLLs :-(
