Program crashes every now and then

Postby phractus » Wed Mar 10, 2004 10:26 pm

Sometimes the program just stops working and freezes, eventually goes to just black. Any idea why this would happen?
thanks for any help.

Generally stable at this end.
May crash if there are too many actors.
Never had it go black. Just locked up.

Windows here, sorry... :(

Resource metering is a good idea though.

phractus,

I manage to crash GE with frequency. I run on WindowzXP. You name it, I've done it! I've seen the black screen in game run mode a number of times, I've locked the program ide, I've crashed windows past repair and had to restart from a cold boot and on it goes. Try to duplicate your crashes to see if they are really a GE problem or maybe it is something else. This duplication process is easier said than done because sometimes it is difficult 'to understand what you did in the first place. If you can recreate the error send it to Makslane via the forum. HtHs
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.
