Game format itself is unchanged. New screen resolution from iphone added and accelerometer support.
But games can also be developed on Linux. For test purposes you should have an iPhone. Doesnt make much sense without.

Ok did anyone here go online and see Steve Jobs press report. Submission by developers using 3rd party compilers will not be accepted into the apple iphone store. Only games and apps made with apple approved compilers will be accepted to keep iphone bug-free. Makslane are you doing anything to make GameEditor iphone certified?
If not we got a big problem.

BTW, can you post the link for this Jobs post?
It is related to the iPhone OS 4 License changes?

What we know is a engine made with C/C++ or Objective C can be used in the iPhone.

Read carefully , I read what you posted earlier but when I read the articule again there are still some questions. Yes it does say C/C++
and API must be in check but there is more to it.

I can't see any problem with the 3.3.1 section.

+1 Krenisis

on another note:
ok so I found out that Left Mouse click is a "single finger tap" on the iphone, does anyone know how to execute a 2 finger click(multitouch) on the iPhone using GE? And does anyone know how or if you can do a pinch/zoom finger action as an input in the GE on iphone?

@AKR: I would gladly be a tester since almost all my efforts are focused on that platform.
@UAN: The whole multitouch issue is a bigger one than one might expect. It's not only an event/action thing, but you would also have to add multiple xmouse and ymouse variables. Frankly, I don't know how to do that. Zooming in with GE is a bit tricky, you would have to use canvas actors and the result could be rather pixelish.

If your wondering how to code multi-touch just look at my supermariobros GED and see the variables needed for the onscreen buttons. If alot of people are still wondering how to do onscreen buttons I will post a tutorial on the weekend. Does anyone need one besides the supermariobros GED in the game demo section?
