Slight contradiction

This is off topic. The topic is game editor handheld. Keep trying to make that, ok?

3.5" in diagonal with 4:3 ratio is exactly like iPhone screen.

Cool goomba :D but how are you going to mass-produce these? :)
Also are you going to have your own version of linux installed? or are you going to simply redistribute built-together raspberry pi's?

how far has this gotten? :D

i've been interested in learning hardware side development for awhile, so i can also make my own console!

i recently picked up a parallax propeller board to mess with i could build a retro game console as in 16 bit gaming console or also build a handheld touchscreen same size screen as the iphone, with the propeller board im limited on video quality and memory although it being completely open source i can upgrade the memory video wise i have to wait for the prop2 board it'll have hd video i believe but the biggest hurdle won't be in designing or building the console as there's enough resources to build it just software wise to make it run GE made games is hard not impossible though..

i dont know much about the raspberry pi's other than i can use them with my board, but soon i'll order in parts and get all my hardware hooked up then it'll be all software programming from there, albeit this will take some time maybe if my good friend super sonic is actually interested enough in propeller :P me and him could figure it out!

i just wanted to let you know that i'll be watching your progress and try and help along the way as i have the same aspirations as you :)

they are neat boards, i've just been checking the possibilities of what they can do which is alot compared to what i originally thought. and the other split of my time is going into reading up on the architecture of the board itself so i can trust myself soldering on it :D lol

but any further questions about it you should pm me or something so we don't cluttler up goomba's post

*Sigh* this WHOLE thing was a project someone could do not a new handheld that is manufactured... so i am NOT manufacturing anything i found the screen while looking at the order page for Raspberry pi... and it looked perfect for this project... @AliceXIII actually i am iterested in hardware too as a hobby and i came up with the whole idea... and the current status is that Hblade, lcl, and acouple others are working on the os i am working on the actual hardware... but at the moment the project is at a standstill i need money to start getting the stuff i need to build the Game Editor Pocket (name thought up by Camper-something-or-other) and i just need to get the stuff i need and build it then we turn to building the software...
