Nice idea. I think I understand what you are suggesting.Hblade wrote:Actually, I think its fine the way it is xD It plays how it's supposed to If you wanted to add something unique, you could try a "shape" system, like, for example, rings that you can go through vertically but not horizontally. (Would probably require a larger level though)... would be kinda neat and would add more challenge lol O:
That is great score! By the picture I suppose you've played Levels.Zivouhr wrote:My highest score so far was 3575 and I made a mistake by pressing back instead of up, reversing into the prior segment and ending the game.
Thanks, Zivouhr. But game always can get better. I suppose.Zivouhr wrote:The ideas you were suggesting in the video of the improvements sound good.
The game as it is now is really good, no complaints.
Yes, there are 10 speeds. First speed moves snake every 300 ms, second every 270 ms. Tenth speed moves snake every 30 ms, but it is controllable, you just need fast reflexes and to be concentrated.Zivouhr wrote:I see the speed eventually goes up to speed 10. Wow, that sounds good. Speed 5 is fun and energetic, while still being controllable, but very challenging also. I haven't gotten past speed 5 yet but will practice.
Yes, when you play One Map scissors appear on every 2000 collected points and cut the tail, levaing the snake only with head. However, scissors disappear after ten seconds if not collected.Zivouhr wrote:I see you have a scissors icon. Does it appear later in the game?
Thank you very much. I am really grateful for this. It was really a big problem that game has less than 2 MB and music 20 MB.Zivouhr wrote:TIP:
For the music, if the file is 2 minutes and 21.7 MB is .wav format, if exporting the same song in .oggvorbis format compatible with Game Editor for Music, it's file size can be 1.3 MB and still sound great. I've included the oggvorbis file of the original song below. It won't play on its own, but only in the game or by the free open source Audacity editor, which can now export in a lot more formats, including MP3, Oggvorbis, wav, etc. http://web.audacityteam.org/
No problem, you've absolutely earned it.Zivouhr wrote:Thanks for the thanks in the credits by the way.
Well, thenk you very much.Zivouhr wrote:Thanks Koala!
The backspace button and exit buttons are fine where they are; no need to change them. I meant to say I pressed the left key button and went backwards into the snake as I panicked as space to turn became trapped as the segments looped around; reminds me of Tron and one reason I've always enjoyed this game. Your version is definitely one of the best versions of Snake I've played. Other version was on Atari 2600 which was very good, NES too I think.
As a matter of fact, I am planing to record some laughing for game "Ball". You'll see what I am talking about.Zivouhr wrote:Yes, Audacity is an awesome tool. With a microphone, you can record any sound you can create and edit it 100 different ways for hundreds of new sound effects. Agreed, for sound effects, wav is required, but for music, oggvorbis is ideal for Game Editor.
