Export Crash

Postby BloodRedDragon » Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:11 pm

I was exporting my game and it came up with an error message saying the program has stopped working. This happened when I tried to export my game. I have a data file so I can't see what went wrong. I have the trial version and I should normally be able to export it into a Windows Exe.

I had the same problem when running GE on Vista Home Premium. I've installed on XP and havent had the problem yet. I'm using V139. I found GE very unstable on Vista and ended up un-installing.

That 1.4 runs as sweet as anything. Makslane has really done a superb job!!
Thanks for putting us on to that. I hadn't realised 1.4 was released.

I am using 1.4 and Windows 7. It's alright, I think it was just spontaneous. It works now, it may have been becuase I called the exe. file the same name as one of my ged. files.

Glad your'e sorted BloodRedDragon. It is annoying when you can't quite put your finger on the prob. I 've got only one gripe with the 1.4 version, I hate the "Powered By Game Editor" splash screen that appears when running the exe file. It detracts from the style of your game. Still, I suppose we'll all have to put up with it. Probably part of the license agreement.
Best of luck with your games :)

Thanks Virgil. Oh and yeah, no I dont mind the splash screen at the start, at least there's no flashing watermark at the bottom anymore like previous versions.. :)
