Hey all, long time no see! I've been busy working on my Masters thesis in Game Design and Architecture. My research semester went very well an now my advisors have suggested I develop several games as a part of my thesis design. I am developing several types, mostly non-digital (since I'm definitely not a programmer), but there is one where I may need to use game-editor.
I have to create a game that demonstrates user-centric architectural design by showing how certain spatial conditions evoke different user experiences/emotions. It would work alongside a board game that would dictate what building pieces players could use, then in the computer interface players build a building with various material, lighting, and spatial conditions. Finally, the experiential goals that the player has to reach (designing to create a sense of risk for example), would be judged by letting a character loose in the space and observing their reactions to each of the elements the designers put in (Lemmings style). The "emotions" the character feels could be shown on some sort of meter, which would determine the success of the design.
Any ideas???
