an external script editor? GE would then run this external editor program passing it the script.

the new version of GE looks like it will have a much more practical script editor:

+ full screen
+ normal syntax colouring
+ scroll bars
+ line numbers

So i don't think you would want one after the next release! sometimes if I'm writing a large piece of code I use a program called "Edit Pad Pro" which has all the features I mentioned above to write the code, and copy + paste between GE
