as my first project i'm attempting to create a version of pong (stop laughing)
I've got the paddles moving fine with the middle "net" in place ... the ball is even colliding off of the paddles ... but only in a completely horizontal line
how can i make the ball bounce off at different angles from the paddles?
I've tried attaching 3 wireframe actors to a paddle (top, center, bottom) all of which are parented by the paddle ... the idea i had there was to bounce the ball straight ahead off of the center wireframe, at a 45 degree upward angle from the top wireframe, and at a 45 degree angle downward from the bottom one ... but i cant figure out how to input that information into GE ...
also once I have that working how can I continue the ball's bounce from the "ceiling" and "floor" of the game (in other words the top and bottom of the screen?)
well i hope all that made sense ... i'd appreciate any suggestions ... thnx in advance
