[update_2]first Command Promt with GE! :)

Postby Sgt. Sparky » Sun Apr 08, 2007 4:08 am

I am working on a command promt with GE,
right now all it can do is open internet pages,
.dat and .exe game editor games (I do not know about .raw or anything else)
and it will soon have custom user vars and some way to make more functions, example:
a c_create function :D
I will post some pictures soon,

Test Version avalable! 1 and 2!:D
I just need you all to test it and use it and give me feedback, this is just the basic version of what you can do :(
I will work on more tomarrow.

the best it can do for now:
the best it can do is open web pages, and open Game Editor exported games.(.exe, .dat it what I'm sure of, I do not know about .raw[test?] :()
change all the r, g, and b values,
and start workin' on a document(good ways to go)
please post feedback :D
the document part is not done yet,
but to see what you can do(just started it)
type the cmd sel=2 and it will allow you to type in the document,
there is now a help function,
and it is full screen with a whole lot of extra stuff!
please tell me what you think of it.
for help use the cmd help
you can take it from there :D

Here is the latest test version! :D
it has alot of functions,
the basic ones plus more.
they are not all listed because I did not have time :(
use the cmd help for help.
you can take it from there :D

Right now (10/14/2009) I'm working on some C++ projects, but I might be able to help if you have some Game Editor questions. :)

I love it!
You should call it sparkdos
sparky -y +dos!

Command is a bit dodgy, and it would be g00d if you could use the rnd command (wit a limit of 255) in set_rgb!!
Good system!
would be a good 'NUX system (UNIX by the way, is wan 'NUX stands for)or linux, but running under win as a sim is good!
PPC support would be good for some, but not me, I dont have a PPC.
I would like to see a linux port! (I mean one that runs under another system!)

Good Job Sparky! Heres some karma! (CATCH!)
EDIT: Oops it's score, sorry!

Im making my own CMD Prompt at the moment!
I forgot to mention in my last post, that before you posted this topic, I started my own CMD prompt!

Its called KyenDos and its screen looks like a Commodore 64 prompt, exept the (normally)lighter blue color is randomized!

Good Luck!
P.S. I expected to see gogo all over this topic, but it seems its only us...YAY!!

Re: [update_2]first Command Promt with GE! :)

Hey Sparky, do you know anyway of opening windows command prompt in GE?
I just want to know. Also if you can open command prompt, how do you make GE type *logoff*?

Just asking.
I'm not good at coming up with signatures...
