How to rotate a sprite

Does anyone know to rotate picture in Photoshop 7.0 like this:

control + t

the free transform tool.

So ctrl+t, rotate it 45 degrees, press enter.
Then hit ctrl + j to dupe it to a new layer.
Then hit Ctrl + shift + t and it will remember the 45 degrees and do it for you again!

Using this method you can create 8 rotated frames in about 15 seconds!
