gp2x and music...

Postby EvilDragon » Thu Dec 07, 2006 1:54 am

I'm currently doing a Pinball game for the gp2x. Basically, I have the engine working. Now I tried to implement music (OGG), but it soooooo slow (even using 22kHz and Low Priority).

Any help with this?
Cheers,
EvilDragon.

Try use a music format at same frequency of the game music.
If the ogg is 44KHz, configure the game for 44KHz.

Alternatively try using a MOD or IT track, works a charm on the GP2X

Did that first, same problem. The game begins to stutter.
I guess that's also the reason the sample games from the Game Editors' Frontpage run pretty slow...

About MOD or IT:
I've got licensed CD music I wanted to use. Don't have any licensed orchestral MOD or IT tracks... and symphonic orchestral music is always a problem with tracker files... gonna try...
