*.png is better.
*.wav is bad for iphone. Better use *.aiff for an effect audio.
Any picture cannot be larger than 1024 width and/or height.

So now I need geapp to create the stand alone app, where can I download it and how will it work with the 50% app revenue..?
Please gimme an answer, PN would be also ok...

@ akr: Wäre am besten wenn du dich meldest weil so alles durch die Sprache einfacher wäre :wink:

Kind regards, Rufus

Rufus, geapp is in the bin directory of your game editor distribution.

If u have a mac environment and compile and publish to appstore by your self you need to buy a game-editor license at least.

If u want us to build and publish to appstore u need a game-editor license and will be charged 50% of revenue after apple fees of revenue.

Open URL problem: Have to use NSURL

Launching the AppStore
Finally, it is worth noting that you can launch the AppStore and have the "buy" page of a specific application appear. To do this, there is no special URL scheme. All you need to do is open up iTunes to the application you want to launch.

Launching the AppStore URL is exactly the same as you would launch the browser., here is an example of how we would launch the AppStore
==============================================================
NSURL *appStoreUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=291586600&mt=8"];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:appStoreUrl];
=================================================================

Akr: Could you help me to update the NSURL command in the Game-Editor?

akr wrote:1) Send me your device UDID as private message. Then we will compile a geplayer for u. This is important. You need to do realtime device tests.
2) Game-Editor will charge 50% of the app revenue generated after Apple charges.
3) You will get instructions what we need besides your ge datfile for appstore submission. Icon, Screenshots, app name, support url.....
4) We will take care of the apple review process.
5) We will provide u the apple app revenue report for money transfer..

Do you charge 50% only for games you put in for us? What if I put it in myself? Or is it simply charging those who haven't bought a license?

Pls note that the way to make games for appstore as a service has changed. See my initial post. We dont charge per sales anymore. A service to create your ipa file for appstore is now available.

Re: Apple FAQ: iPad, iPhone, iPod, iAds!

Postby akr » Tue Dec 21, 2010 12:05 pm

Hi,

I am working on a modified iphone engine - geappiads. iAds allows to have a advertising banner in a ge application.

This geapp edition will allow u to earn money even if your application is posted for free on appstore or gets copied.

The plan is to have a banner of 480x32 on the bottom of the screen. Landscape screen orientation will be supported in the first version.
