OMG!!!

Pros :
1. I like the text effects (please teach me how to make that)
2. I like how Gelman and Fireman discuss, but the Fireman should beside of Gelman...(not in back)
3. For full screen version, 320x240 is enough...but make it bigger is better

Nos :
1. Toooooo long opening dialog...please make it shorter...
2. Very poor shadding system on player, but the BG is OK
3. When you jump and then collide with wall, make him fall as his normal yvelocity

I also tried to make something about your Gelman...ignore this...this just my crazy idea

I already love the way he moves at the start, and the rest of the game is really awesome.
I also noticed the 'corner glitch'
Maybe you can press 'x' to cancel the opening or something?

But since I know a lot of psychal things (I am an experienced person with it, too bad) I might help you too.
íf you need idea's of us, that is...

Must say something useful? Err, copyright it? Sell it to Ubisoft?

Thanks a lot for answering guys! Now to answer some of your concerns:

Pros 1: I had a few requests for that, I'll post a demo sooner or later, just be on the watch for it!
Pros 2: That isn't supposed to happen and it rarely does... I'll do my best to make my movements fail-safe in the next demo release!
Pros 3: 320x240 is intended for the gp2x F-200 which I just bought yesterday! (I might abuse that touchscreen!! More details to come!)

Cons 1: I felt that way about it as well, I'll shorten it for the next version and look for the possibility to skip scenes if possible...
Cons 2: FACT: I suck at spriting!!! But I'll do what I can to flesh it out a bit more. My BG and tiles may end-up better with more time spent on them.
Cons 3: Sorry, but you'll need to get used to that... It the wall stick function.... But I may make it so you need to tap the side keys while in mid-air to stick to the walls instead to avoid interference. (Best of both worlds, and thanks for giving me that idea!)

Also, that looks pretty cool, I'll see later if I find a place to integrate this form, thanks for the idea!

- If you mean the brick pit you can't get out of, I fixed that... You'll see in the next demo!
- I'll see if I can work out a "skipping scenes function" (already mentioned)
- I'll ask for help if I need it, but I usually don't... Thanks for the offer though!
- Copyright? I don't know how that works... And I don't think I could sell this thing, I'm not good enough.

I would love to see my game eventually end up on the gp2x (that's my goal), so I'll keep putting lots of efforts to make this game as slick as possible. Thank you very much for the comments and (to Bee-Ant) don't worry about criticizing, no game is perfect, and these critics only serve to make games better!

Bye all! --Pyro

lol, I made everything you see in this game at the exception of the jump sound. Thank you for offering your help with music, but I must try to make most of it myself so I can gain experience. Is there anything you think should be improved? Thank you for your comment by the way!

That's fixed! And you can also use "crush gel" instead to crush those blocks instead of blowing them up one by one. Thanks for commenting!

I have very bad news to announce today... I just got my gp2x in the mail and exported Gelman! to it, and its too CPU heavy... The game lags big time and fails at even being close to playable. Therefore, Gelman! will have to remain for computers and will never see itself played on this wonderful player. Sad story, I really hoped it would work fine.

That's too bad, I hoped playing it on my mpx200 too.
Wait...
I broke it...
Who wants to buy a €120 sim-card?

About the music, I tried to make some music too with some thing but I did never get a program where you can do it, only transform music (quicker slower etc.)
So what are you using then, maybe I can use that one too!
I sell it for just €90, so you got 30 for free! And a 1GB memory-card and even a speaker!! what would you want more!
Not to have to travel to Holland... Good point
