Cursor is Slow and always in "Hand Mode" on Windows XP

Postby Turon » Fri Jul 05, 2019 8:15 pm

Generally I've found that the best gameEditor experience is on Windows XP. So I've taken to running gE in a XP Virtual Machine and it has generally worked okay. But Lately moving to cursor around in the editor has become slow and buggy, it shows the pointing hand whenever over an actor regardless of whether you're clicking on it or not. Are there any XP users that could attest to whether or not this is a problem with gameEditor or Windows XP?

Could you explain what advantages you get when running GE on XP? I've had no problems with Win 7 / 10.

The benefit is that you can run your games in true full screen with no scaling problems.

I don't use XP but I can imagine it's because there is no support anymore. Maybe you should switch back to Win10 again.

I didn't switch to XP. I actually use macOS most of the time. XP I just have on a VM.
